They also develop a greater understanding and passion for Scripture as they take classes involving an intensive study of Old Testament, New Testament and Systematic Theology.
As a Southern Baptist Liberal Arts College, The College at Southwestern trains students to engage the culture by study of the Word of God and the great works of Western civilization. We offer three degrees, each with a slightly different focus but with one overarching goal.
The BAH offers students a unique blend of studying the great books of western civilization with a strong portion dedicated to the study of the Bible and theology. This degree is designed to challenge students in their thinking about the great questions of human history by reading the great works on the topics while simultaneously searching the Scriptures as the supreme source of truth.
The BSBS offers students at the Havard campus the opportunity to focus a bit more on biblical studies. This degree is designed to expose students to the a wider range of subjects including apologetics, Biblical structures and interpretative methods, and American cultures.
The BAM offers music students a unique blend of music courses, biblical and theological studies courses, and history of ideas courses. This degree is designed to create well-rounded musicians that can engage the culture through the use of their God-given talents.
The Bachelor of Music in Performance prepares musical artists who will utilize their talent in their applied area of performance to serve and lead in church, community, educational, or missions settings. Students must declare a concentration in instrument, organ, piano, or voice by the beginning of their second semester.
